Me and you are going to make a scene together. This will be the <strong>beginner scene<\/strong>, so even if you are new to the Daz3D &#8211; you can follow up with ease. Especially as everything used in the tutorial is built-in the program itself, so you<strong> don\u2019t need to spend a cent<\/strong> to follow it with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will go into each step from the very beginning of installing and first launching the Daz Studio to the final render. You can download it <strong>for free<\/strong> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daz3d.com\/get_studio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official website<\/a> after a simple registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, there should be simple instructions about how to install everything using the default <em>DAZ Install Manager<\/em>. Alternatively you can use <em>DazCentral<\/em>, which is another software with basically the same functions. Also installing everything manually is always an option too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Installing should be easy and don\u2019t be a problem. But if it is &#8211; don\u2019t worry. We have an <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz-install-manager-dim-vs-dazcentral-vs-daz3d-manual-install\/\">in-depth article about installing Daz Studio<\/a> in every way possible. With its help you should <strong>handle everything.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Add a Figure in Daz3d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To <strong>add most of the things <\/strong>to your scene you will need to use the \u201c<em>Smart Content<\/em>\u201d tab. In the default layout this tab can be found on the left side of the interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"973\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-smart-content.jpg\" alt=\"daz studio smart content pane\" class=\"wp-image-2265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-smart-content.jpg 613w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-smart-content-189x300.jpg 189w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-smart-content-300x476.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be always open by default, as it is one of the <strong>most important and used <\/strong>tabs. But if for some reason it is not there for you &#8211; don\u2019t worry. It is always possible to <strong>open any tab<\/strong> if you go to the \u201c<em>Window<\/em>\u201d at the top bar and \u201c<em>Panes<\/em>\u201d from there there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"348\" height=\"993\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-open-any-tab.png\" alt=\"Daz Studio open any tab\" class=\"wp-image-2266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-open-any-tab.png 348w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-open-any-tab-105x300.png 105w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-open-any-tab-300x856.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in the \u201c<em>Smart Content<\/em>\u201d find the \u201c<em>Figures<\/em>\u201d option, click on it and you will see a selection of all Genesis technology generations. I recommend selecting the newest, Genesis 8 technology. Or the previous, Genesis 3 is also good. Choosing any other is <strong>not a good idea<\/strong>, as they are simply too old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On our website we have articles, where we explain everything about the <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz3d-genesis-8\/\">Genesis 8<\/a>, why it is named like that and it\u2019s pros. Also you can read about the <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz3d-genesis-3\/\">Genesis 3<\/a> and why a lot of people are <strong>still using it instead of the newest generation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After choosing the generations, you will be sent to its folder. Here you need to again find the \u201c<em>Figures<\/em>\u201d options. Now select whether you want Male or Female characters.<strong> Be wary<\/strong> not to choose the \u201c<em>Dev load<\/em>\u201d figures, as they are for developing stuff. So let\u2019s not leave them like that and <strong>find something to cover their body<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still in the <em>Smart content<\/em> tab, in the Genesis folder, find the \u201c<em>Wardrobe<\/em>\u201d option. Sadly, by default there is no real selection of clothes, so choice is between just some Basic wear. You can dress characters in outfits or in a seperate pieces of the outfit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Double check that your character is selected<\/strong>. It can be seen if it has the white borders in the viewport or yellow selection box in the \u201c<em>Scene<\/em>\u201d tab on the top right(see screenshots). If it is not selected &#8211; select it by clicking on it in the \u201c<em>Scene<\/em>\u201d tab. Everything is still the same. \u201c<em>Smart Content<\/em>\u201d tab, find the \u201c<em>Hair<\/em>\u201d this time. There should be only two default options. One for male and one for female.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As there are<strong> not a big selection<\/strong> of hairstyles and clothes, feel always free to browse the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daz3d.com\/shop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daz3D shop<\/a>. You can find there a lot of different items and bundles that you will probably like. You can try to <strong>experiment <\/strong>and fit the female hair to the male figure and vice versa. Basically around nothingness. Daz Studio can simulate some kind of floor, but it would be much better if we&nbsp;could <strong>place the environment around our character<\/strong>. Let\u2019s do exactly that then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, <strong>exit the<\/strong> \u201c<em>Genesis starter essentials<\/em>\u201d <strong>folder <\/strong>that you should be in. In the \u201c<em>Smart Content<\/em>\u201d at the top left there should be a blue button with an arrow. That is what we need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"249\" height=\"211\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-products-pane.jpg\" alt=\"daz studio product pane\" class=\"wp-image-2272\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now find the \u201c<em>Environments<\/em>\u201d option. There you can select whatever you like. I personally think that the \u201c<em>Secret Garden Shaded Haven<\/em>\u201d is the <strong>perfect environment for the beginner scene<\/strong>. So double click on it, it will open the folder again. In my case, I will need to <strong>also add textures<\/strong>. Though, sounds complicated, in reality it is really easy. Just find the \u201c<em>Materials<\/em>\u201d right under the \u201c<em>Environments<\/em>\u201d and with your environment selected find something like the \u201c<strong>Full Material<\/strong>s\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to use something more interesting and, frankly, better, read our articles about some of the <strong>top environments that we found<\/strong>. There are articles about <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/top-6-bar-3d-models\/\">top bar models<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/swimming-pool-3d-models\/\">best swimming pools<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/house-3d-models\/\">residential houses<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Pose a Character in Daz3d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that we have our character in the clothes, with the hair and surrounded by some kind of environment, we can begin detailing our scene. Firstly, let\u2019s <strong>make the figure take a pose<\/strong>. There are a couple of ways of doing this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First and the easiest, that I <strong>recommend using for beginners<\/strong> is just finding needed poses under the \u201c<em>Poses<\/em>\u201d option in the \u201c<em>Smart Content<\/em>\u201d. Try selecting poses that were made for your figure in mind. Meaning female poses for females. You can try to experiment and use, for example, female poses on males, it should not be a problem. They just may not look as intended.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"595\" height=\"875\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-how-to-pose.png\" alt=\"daz3d how to pose a character\" class=\"wp-image-2275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-how-to-pose.png 595w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-how-to-pose-204x300.png 204w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-how-to-pose-300x441.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After selecting a pose, you might want to <strong>move a character<\/strong>. As seen on the screenshot, in my case the character&#8217;s foot is under the floor. And a pose definitely does not work in this place, he needs some kind of a wall behind him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To resolve these problems, I need to move him. For this I just select the figure and at its origin point the axis should appear. I can<strong> drag the arrows to move figures<\/strong> in that direction. If for you the axis does not appear &#8211; find the \u201c<em>Universal too<\/em>l\u201d in the toolbar and select it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"498\" height=\"849\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-changing-character-position.png\" alt=\"daz studio changing position of a character\" class=\"wp-image-2276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-changing-character-position.png 498w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-changing-character-position-176x300.png 176w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-changing-character-position-300x511.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alternatively <\/strong>it can be moved in the \u201c<em>Parameters<\/em>\u201d tab. Tab should be on the right. If not, see how to open tabs at the beginning of the article.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the \u201c<em>Parameters<\/em>\u201d tab you can <strong>move, rotate and scale any objects<\/strong>. Absolutely the same stuff as with the \u201c<em>Universal tool<\/em>\u201d, but instead of using arrows in 3D space, you can drag sliders here. This way is just <strong>a bit more precise<\/strong>, especially as you can write exact numbers here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"395\" height=\"414\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-transform-parameters.png\" alt=\"daz studio transform parameters\" class=\"wp-image-2277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-transform-parameters.png 395w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-transform-parameters-286x300.png 286w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-transform-parameters-300x314.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 395px) 100vw, 395px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I have placed my figure against the column of the building, as this really fits the pose I chose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"502\" height=\"832\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-fixing-pose-problems.png\" alt=\"daz studio showing character with a pose problem\" class=\"wp-image-2278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-fixing-pose-problems.png 502w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-fixing-pose-problems-181x300.png 181w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-fixing-pose-problems-300x497.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 502px) 100vw, 502px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This pose clearly has <strong>a couple of problems<\/strong>. It can be seen that his right hand is sticking inside the clothes. Also he is looking not in the best direction. Because if I want him to look in the camera, I need to place it in the way, so you could not see the emptiness behind him. Would be better if he looked the other way. So <strong>let&#8217;s fix this<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a couple of ways how we can <strong>manually change the pose<\/strong>. First one is the easiest to understand. On the toolbar find the \u201c<em>ActivePose Tool<\/em>\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-activepose-tool.jpg\" alt=\"daz studio active pose tool\" class=\"wp-image-2279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-activepose-tool.jpg 613w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-activepose-tool-300x31.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>When it is active, it is possible to <strong>click and drag any part of the character&#8217;s body and change its position<\/strong>. It is a very easy to use tool that anybody can understand. Though it has its flaws. Main is that it affects nearest bones too, not only one you want to pose. And also it can be hard to be precise just with the mouse dragging. But if you want to do something roughly and precision is not a main point &#8211; this tool is perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second tool is <strong>more precise<\/strong>. You will need to select the exact part of the body that you want to pose. It is an<strong> awesome tool<\/strong> that allows you not only to change the pose of a body, but also will help to make <strong>facial expressions<\/strong>. Circles that look like the sun affect a bunch of parts at the same time. For example, both legs or shoulders with the hands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The diamond shapes are for moving the whole figure at once. This is a <strong>perfect time to set up a camera<\/strong>. It is a very important step, as you can&#8217;t render properly without a camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding a camera by itself is <strong>easy<\/strong>. Just click \u201c<em>Create a new camera<\/em>\u201d button on the toolbar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"298\" height=\"43\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-create-new-camera.png\" alt=\"daz studio creating a new camera\" class=\"wp-image-2284\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, Daz Studio will open a <strong>separate window for adding cameras<\/strong>. Using it you can name and Label future camera. Also, if you click the \u201c<em>Show Options&gt;&gt;<\/em>\u201d, more options will appear that allow you to change the starting point of a camera.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"317\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-new-camera-interface.png\" alt=\"daz new camera interface\" class=\"wp-image-2285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-new-camera-interface.png 317w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-new-camera-interface-300x265.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we need to place the camera in the suitable place. You can <strong>move the camera<\/strong> in the standard ways, such as in the <em>Parameters tab <\/em>or using the \u201c<em>Universal tool<\/em>\u201d. But for cameras there is<strong> one more way<\/strong>, which is really convenient. It is possible to change the Perspective view to the Camera view. Meaning, that you can control the camera as it is your view. And after placing it in the perfect position &#8211; just change back to the perspective view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To<strong> help yourself with the positioning<\/strong>, you can turn on the \u201c<em>Aspects frame<\/em>\u201d and \u201c<em>Thirds Guide<\/em>\u201d(see screenshot below). First one shows the frame that indicates part of the view, that will be rendered. And the second option will divide the screen into 9 identical rectangles. This will allow you to easily find the center of your view and help you with placing camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1043\" height=\"884\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-aspect-frame.jpg\" alt=\"daz studio aspect frame\" class=\"wp-image-2286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-aspect-frame.jpg 1043w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-aspect-frame-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-aspect-frame-768x651.jpg 768w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-aspect-frame-850x720.jpg 850w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1043px) 100vw, 1043px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are a lot more to the cameras<\/strong>. Especially as there is a separate tab for camera settings, where you can change it in a way, similar to real world cameras. That is to say, that you can change focal length, lens of a camera and make a bokeh effect. In this tutorial I will stick with the default settings, but nothing stops you from reading the <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz3d-camera-settings\/\">Daz3d Camera Settings Tutorial<\/a> and making your scene much better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although I will use the <strong>depth of field option<\/strong>. Mainly because it is not hard to set up, while making almost any scene <strong>better by a lot<\/strong>. But explaining depth of field requires too much space to leave it in this tutorial. But it will <strong>not look good<\/strong>. Simply because we have no lighting on our scene. By default Daz Studio has Headlamp turned on. It is a light that comes directly from your camera. So render would not be black:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-headlamp-default-lighting-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-headlamp-default-lighting-1.png 720w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-headlamp-default-lighting-1-225x300.png 225w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-headlamp-default-lighting-1-300x400.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It is clearly seen that the lighting here is terrible. It is pointed directly from the camera, which creates a very<strong> flat and bland lighting<\/strong>. The background is really dark too. That is why it is very important to set up proper lighting on the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am going to use the free outdoor HDRI that I found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/hdrihaven.com\/\">HDRI Haven<\/a> website for the environmental lighting. Also the default three-point lighting technique is used. If you do not understand what am i talking about and how to set this up yourself &#8211; worry not. We have the <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz3d-iray-lighting-tutorial\/\">Daz3d Iray Lighting Tutorial<\/a> that will <strong>teach you everything that was used in this tutorial and many more<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My final lighting setup consists of the strong <strong>key light<\/strong> a bit on an angle from the camera, <strong>fill light<\/strong> in the top and left of the character and a <strong>back light<\/strong> to the bottom of a character from the behind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"767\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-three-point-lighting.png\" alt=\"how to use daz3d to stup three point lighting\" class=\"wp-image-2290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-three-point-lighting.png 767w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-three-point-lighting-262x300.png 262w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz-studio-three-point-lighting-300x343.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 100vw, 767px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Render in Daz Studio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point you should have a scene with a dressed character in a pose and proper lighting. Which means that we are almost at a finish line and the scene is <strong>ready to be rendered<\/strong>. But before rendering, we need to go into render settings and set things up. In this article I will just show some simple stuff. For a<strong> proper tutorial on this matter<\/strong> &#8211; read <a href=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/daz3d-render-settings\/\">Daz3d Render Settings: Basics &amp; Tips<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Render settings menu tab should be open by default on the right side of the interface. As per usual, open it in the \u201cWindow\u201d if you don\u2019t have it opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, we need to make sure that <em>Aspect Ratio<\/em> and <em>Resolution <\/em>are good. Depending on the scene, these settings may vary a lot. In my case I want a full length <strong>portrait render<\/strong>. That is why I chose the 3:4 at 720p. Feel free to use something more common, as a 16:9 ratio and 1920&#215;1080 resolution for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"527\" height=\"740\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dazstudio-general-render-setting.png\" alt=\"dazstudio general render settings\" class=\"wp-image-2291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dazstudio-general-render-setting.png 527w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dazstudio-general-render-setting-214x300.png 214w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dazstudio-general-render-setting-300x421.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the \u201c<em>Progressive Rendering<\/em>\u201d I have only changed the Max Samples to 750. Because I think this number should be plenty for the tutorial image purpose. But you may set it to something <strong>much higher<\/strong> if you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And at the \u201c<em>Filtering<\/em>\u201d I have left \u201c<em>Firefly Filter<\/em>\u201d turned on, turn it on too if it is off for you. Also turned on the Denoiser and set start to the 700 samples. This way, it will not denoise all the time,<strong> increasing rendering time drastically<\/strong>, but only at the end. Denoising at the first samples is not doing much anyway.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"528\" height=\"717\" src=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-filtering-denoiser.png\" alt=\"daz3d filtering denoiser settings\" class=\"wp-image-2292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-filtering-denoiser.png 528w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-filtering-denoiser-221x300.png 221w, https:\/\/renderguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/daz3d-filtering-denoiser-300x407.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>That is basically it for the Rendering tab. But what if you want your characters to <strong>move and interact<\/strong>? What if you want to create a <strong>movie<\/strong>? Well, you can do exactly that with the help of Daz Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Animating consists of just changing the time on the timeline and the pose of your character. Rinse repeat a lot, and voila &#8211; <strong>a ready animation<\/strong>.
